Fall Soccer 2018 Pre-K and Kinder

Registration closes in 9 days

The goal of Pre-K and Kinder soccer is to develop the fundamental skills, sportsmanship and enjoyment of soccer. Each 75-minute session will consist of a 30-40 minute practice to emphasize skills development and a 35-40 minute scrimmage against other Allendale teams.

The first session will generally be held on the weekend following Labor Day with the final session generally occurring in mid-November. The first session will generally be run by professional soccer trainers in order to introduce both parent volunteer coaches and players to drills and games aimed at skills development and to give the parent volunteer coaches ideas on how to run their practices and scrimmages.

All parent volunteer coaches and players will receive team shirts. The key to the success of the weekly sessions is the involvement of volunteer parent coaches and assistant coaches. Parents are able to indicate their interest in coaching or assisting via the same site on which player registration is completed. At the time of parent registration, consent to a background check will be required. Parent volunteers must also complete a Rutgers Safety Clinic course and an on-line concussion course.

Players should bring water and wear shin guards and cleats. At this age group, a parent or guardian must remain at the field at all times. It is recommended that players bring a size #3 soccer ball.
